It is hard to believe that Monarch Place has just passed the milestone of its tenth birthday. It still seems like yesterday we were scrambling to put the last pieces into place in order to open the doors. As I reflect over these past years, there are several things that come to mind that I would like to share with you.

The 1485 women and 876 children that have shared the house with us over these years have represented a panorama of perspectives, cultures, ages, and family situations. Each one has had an individual story to tell and a unique journey to share. To us each one that comes is a success story because of their desire to improve the quality of their lives. To watch a face filled with despair and pain begin to transform into a face filled with courage and hope is an awesome thing.
