Our Programs and Services

These are emergency first stage transition houses for women and their children fleeing domestic abuse,

in confidential locations in New Westminster and Delta. They are available to any women who meet our criteria. A 20 minute screening takes place over the phone prior to being accepted. They also offer confidential crisis lines available 24/7 for anyone who just wants to talk to someone about what is happening or needing info.

Chrysalis Place and Wings Place

These are second stage houses providing a one year residential program for women & their children fleeing domestic abuse, in confidential locations in New Westminster and Delta. They are available to women who need further support and have been at a transition house. There is an application process prior to being accepted.

Calisto Place

This is a five unit affordable housing complex for women & their children fleeing domestic abuse located in

New Westminster. There is a low income eligibility requirement for rent subsidy. Unfortunately, there is zero vacancy for this program.

WINGS Multicultural Outreach Program

This program provides support for women from any cultural background, primarily living in the New Westminster or Delta areas, who have been impacted by domestic abuse. Practical support, advocacy, and referrals are provided.

WINGS Outreach Program

This program provides housing search support and limited rent supplements to women living in the Metro Vancouver area who have been affected by domestic abuse. Help for all areas related to housing and resettlement is available.

WISHES Groups

WISHES stands for Women In Safe Healthy Encouraging Support. These are ten week, confidential, non-judgmental community support groups for women affected by domestic abuse, held in various locations throughout Metro Vancouver and potentially available several times a year. Groups are either in-person or online. There is no fee for participation.

WINGS Counselling Services      www.wingscounselling.org

This program provides confidential, non-judgmental counselling in a relaxed and safe environment. We help people with stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, and high-conflict relationships. We also have the expertise to support women, men, families, and friends who have been affected by domestic abuse. Our counsellors are registered & certified. The services are available either online or in person (office is located in a professional building in New Westminster and close to transit). Fees are on a sliding scale based on income. Some weekends & evenings available.

WINGS Resources

We provide educational workshops & guest speakers for other organizations and community services. Examples of workshops would include healthy dating relationships for teens and high school students, the ingredients of healthy relationships and identifying harmful behaviours for young adults, and creating safe spaces in workplaces. We provide consultation for individuals, community groups, and churches. We have printed and electronic resources available upon request.

MenTOR (MEN Transforming Our Relationships)   www.mentorbc.org

This program is a confidential, facilitated non-judgmental peer accountability group, for men desiring change or wishing to learn healthier ways of being in a relationship. Groups run for 15-20 weeks in various locations or online. There is a screening/intake process, a small fee for participation, and an option to join the alumni group upon completion.
